[Shotimes] bias valve plugs

I'm hopefully going to work on my brakes this weekend.  One
of the things I'll be doing is putting the plugs in the rear bias
valve.  How straight forward is this?  Just replace the valves
with the plugs?  I seem to remember someone asking about the
little arm that's on the valve.  Does that need to be secured in
a certain position, or does it not matter?  Anything to watch
out for?
