Pretty good chance is that it's the 02 sensors. They will throw a code when
they fail outright, but they won't usually if they're just getting old.
Replace them and see what happens. The front one isn't that bad to get to;
the back one's a pain.
Also, for shits 'n giggles, check the MAF out to make sure the sensor wires
aren't fouled, especially if you're using a K&N.
Like Chris said, the 155 won't mess up anything; it's the 190,225 etc. fuel
pumps that overload the regulator.

High NOx is typically indicative of a lean mixture. How old are your
oxygen sensors?
The fuel pump will not cause this - the 155 is a perfectly acceptable
stock replacement and will not cause any running or driveability
issues.
