[Shotimes] Vibration or picky...again (update)

George,

This particular steering restriction occurs at the same position of the steerring wheel everytime I turn it.  It occurs at about 15deg to the left.

This suggests that it's something mechanical.

The fact, that the restriction goes away after about 5-10min of driving or so, and only occurs when the car is cold, tells me that temperature plays a role and that something is heating up in a relatively short time after which the restriction goes away.

Given this, could it still be the steering fluid (which btw has never been replaced)?
