[Shotimes] (UPDATE) SHO left me stranded... 50 yards from a Ford dealer

I'll second Kevin on checking the LPM.  I also agree that it seems to
be a wire or connector issue.

Check the ground points and look for losse or frayed wiring in the
engine compartment.  I thik something is loosing the connection it is
supposed to have.
