There is no doubt that MG has been in trouble for a long time, and
losing the marque isn't going to be the end of the world. Just remember
all the relatively healthy companies that went away last century. Not
talking the little buggy shops, but things like AMC, Packard, Auburn,
Cord, Duesenberg. These were all well respected companies that just
didn't make it.

MG has a long and not always great history, but as someone that used to
own an MGB, I am sad that they appear not to be going the way of those
other companies. At least if you have to have your share of those
beautiful bodies, and fun driving experiences, the MG in many versions
was sold in the US in numbers enough so that they will be around for a
long time.

Some big names have come back with glory, of course Mustang really never
went away, but some versions were on the verge of taking down a great
name. The GTO can be saved if GM has the guts (and money) to do it, but
as much as I wished that this new one would carry on where the really
"great ones" left off, it hasn't so far, but it is a pretty good car,
just not a really good "GTO".

And I have no illusions that Ford will ever bring back the SHO, so we
can just continue to enjoy what we have and be glad that Ford will
probably never have the chance to bring back the name and screw it up
royal! :)

And Rav, you did the right thing going into electronics.
