You might see it around 2 bucks, or maybe less, for the rest of this year. After
that, forget it. There's only so much petroleum, and the vast majority of it will
soon be heading to the eastern hemisphere.
All of Eva's family is considering moving back to Peking or Shanghai, and they are
telling me all the time that mainland China (PRC) has been waiting for decades to
stick it to those 'capitalists' ..plus, with the current Bush/Taiwan defence
contract fiasco....now it has the chance (and the justification). Just like they
didn't have to "learn" home video technology with years and years of videotape, but
just started directly with DVDs (you won't find _one_ VCR in PRC), they haven't had
to "learn" how to make fuel efficient cars by taking years and years to go through
the carburetor/high emission era, and are starting directly with the best automotive
technology the US, Europe and Japan have to offer. They have the money to buy
petroleum, and they are spending it.
It's only just begun.
The Fountain is in _BIG_ trouble....in 5 years it could well be $2500 to fill it up
one time.
Fuel cell SHOs, anyone?
