Yep....you did good.

I had Lowrider's front exhaust manifold catch some oil on fire on the way home from
the Maryland convention in 2002....that was an adventure. Heard it go "whump" after
a small dribble spilled down over the side of the cam cover...it was too hot to
stick my thumb down there after a quick trip from Columbus to St. Louis. Eva was in
the car....never knew what happened. I was blowing on it and running all
around....it was refueling at the time. After all this was done it occured to me to
make a spout out of paper towels....a day late and a dollar short, as usual.

About 200 years ago (June of 1969, actually), the Boss's trunk caught on fire
(actually a suitcase full of clothes) when the taillight bulb fell out of the socket
and was laying on the suitcase for about 30 minutes with the brakes applied, as I
was going downhill in solid traffic from the Laguna Seca infield out the access road
to the main highway after a Mustang Club event. The car was only a couple of months
old....I took it back to the selling dealer and read them the riot act.....you all
would have been proud!!! Still have the suitcase (and the car).

;-)

I installed a fire extinguisher in it right after that. Same extinguisher is still
there. ...pressure probably totally zeroed out by now.

I intend to get the Boss out and dust it off this fall...after the new SHO is
done...to get it to the museum next spring. Rabbits got it again...not much left of
the underhood wiring.
