The fuel pump is fairly new,if memory serves me correctly it has less than 5k.And I replaced the fuel filter shortly thereafter. All the mileage and the dates when I replace parts on Bart,Marlene keeps track of all that stuff.Different story on SHO-SHO, every receipt every piece of paper reguarding or replacing parts are kept in her folder. The black evil one is buck free since Saturday.Very strange.
Fuel pressure was checked at the schrader valve, and seemed very strong.I'm not sure if I've ever done a fuel delivery test.Explain please.

Ken:
The purge canister usually is the cause of gas smells in and around the
front of the car. Sometimes the lines can get blocked but the usual failure
is the CANP(Canister Purge) valve dies and then the engine never can suck
the gas fumes back from the canister. So when the canister gets saturated
you start to smell gas fumes. Clogged vapor recovery lines cause the same
symptom.
I think you fuel pump needs replaced. So my
SHOwizards.........Whatzzzzzzup with dat? Fuel pressure regulator..??
maybe??Not electrical at all.....so we can rule
> that one out on the two of them....
