You can mix regular and synthetic fluids, it just negates the goodness of
synthetic.

I know you can't mix synthetic and regular engine oil, but can you mix
regular and synthetic ATF fluid?  I'm guessing it's probably not a good
idea, but right now, the only thing keeping me from driving my car after
replacing a CV joint is not having enough Redline D4 to fill the tranny.  I
put in one whole quart but the tranny is still low on fluid.
