I use Yokohama AVS dB S2s. They are awesome in the rain and I have yet
to get them to hydroplane even going 55 through a 4" deep puddle with
1/3 tread life left on them. Also very, very, very quiet on the highway
and great traction (I got z-rated).

Subject: [Shotimes] Tire Recomendations

I really hate to bring this common thread up, but....

Our '95 ATX SHO needs new shoes now that we're starting to see some rain
here in California. Here are my requirements:

o must be very good in rain (wife and daughter are skittish about
hydroplaning)

o might see a convention track day, but general use will be driving
around
town and long distance touring.

o snow is something that we drive to see, not something that occurs
locally

o a quiet tire on highway pavement would be nice

o OEM size, with at least an H rating

o Under $100 apiece would be nice

Tire Rack seems to indicate the Conti Extreme Contact would be a good
choice. What else?

    Alan
