I got one for my '94 from Advance Auto Parts (online). It was only around
$100 for a 3-year warranty (they have them for 1, 3, & limited lifetime
warranties). I worked fine for about a year (until Garber totaled it!!).

When I had my alternator rebuilt, it was the diode(s) that were bad. Been
working great ever since. Alan Fanning recommended this rebuilder. He's
right down the street from where I work, he identified the alternator
immediately ("Taurus...SHO"), and he rebuilt it for $140 (less than a
replacement from Autozone).
