[Shotimes] Will 90 SHO rims fit 89 SHO?

Any SHO wheel ('89 to '95) fit will any stock ('89 to '95) SHO.
I think that the '96 to '99 wheels were 1/2" wider, thus there may
be some tire/fender interference on the rear. But the offset is
still correct and they bolt right on.
Though I have only had Gen II SHOs with 16" wheels, I had an old
set of basket weave 15" wheels off of our old '87 SLO. Got a set
of Blizzaks for these wheels and felt that I had something better
than 4WD when they were on the '93MTX. But they won't fit the '95MTX,
because it has the '96 brake upgrade, so I am stuck with a large
and wide snow tire that will fit the stock 16" slicers. So, even
the stock spare doesn't fit on the front.
For snow only, get the narrowest tire that you can get and still
have the correct loading. Thinking that my Blizzaks were 195R70/15,
which is a standard tire size for a SLO.
I have found that Tire Rack usually has the best tire pricing. They
also offer a wheel/tire package. For your '89, it would most likely
be an inexpensive steel wheel/Blizzak set.
