[Shotimes] Oil Leak

Is it possible that the oil filter had a leak? In very cold weather,
especially with conventional oil, when the engine first starts, the oil
doesn't want to flow through the filter, and even the bypass won't let
it flow enough, I have known filters to leak momentarily at the gasket.
As soon as the oil starts flowing and warms up a bit, no leak.
Just thought I would mention one possible source.
