I suggested this sub to JVO when he replaced his.  He says he is ecstatic
over it.  It is the correct impedance to match the factory amp.  And on top
of that, it's only ~$19 plus shipping.

The foam surround on my 92's sub took a crap a few weeks ago.  What's the
approx cost on the above JL unit?  Good vendor?

I think the biggest thing with the factory sub is the head unit/amp section
rolls off the low end frequency curve as you increase volume (probably to
protect the OEM sub).  With a better sub (more durable) and a linear curve,
it would probably sound a bit better (at least at higher volumes).

My stupid head unit has a random short in it, tempting to replace the whole
set-up with aftermarket (I'm too cheap)  :)
