[Shotimes] Quirk, or "feature"?

I believe that has to do with the way the autolock logic works. In my 92,
I connected the autolock plugs under the seat and using the interior light
switch does that whenever it goes to the Off position. Now, why the
transition on turning off the interior light switch activates the logic I
can't figure out. If the logic was a simple AND gate, then any of the
inputs that satisfy the ciruit would make it work, but it doesn't work
this way for the reverse gear detector. This transition only causes the
autolock to activate the first time and never after that.

I assume the marks on the speedo are there to calibrate the gauge, but it
seems strange to me that for a mass produced part, each and every gauge
would actually get calibrated, but anything's possible.
