I agree completely. I just bought a new home computer. I purchased the 19"
Flat Screen CRT to go with it. It was offered with a free TFT and I turned
it down since I end up working at home after hours and I need a decent CRT
for CAD work.

Sorry guys, I won't be giving up my 21" CRT here at work anytime soon.
why you ask? drafting and 3D modeling. CRT's are just a lot more
sharp when dealing with the fine lines required in this process.
There is not a single modeler in our company that disagrees with this.
If it was my home computer, sure a Flat Panel would be an option, but
or clarity and resolution, especially of little tiny stuff. CRT's
(good ones) are still the way to go.

That said my home computer is a notebook, so I am pretty versed in
Flat panel displays. Had to use them at school 3 years ago when they
were the hottest thing out there. The consensus of the Mech.
Engineers was that we hated them for drafting and modeling. Plus the
cost difference is pretty huge. You can get a good innovision 19" CRT
fot about $100.
