I also agree. I don't think  that most consumer flat
panels have the sharpness and clarity that good CRT's
have. My Sony 17" Trinitron (although somewhat on the
smaller end these days) still looks better than any
flat screen. It's a shame because I think the
technology as gotten really good but will fall by the
wayside as flat screens become more and more popular..
