I can also say that I am quite impressed by my car and how well it has
been. I am currently commuting about 30 miles each way to work, and
my car has been a dream for that. I think the more I drive the car,
the beter it does. in the summer when I am riding the motorcycle to
work a lot I notice that the car does not run really well.
i think a daily driven SHO is for some reason the most reliable one.
I would not be afraid to take my car across country, but then again I
am never too worried about roadside repairs. Like coolant reservoirs
on the way to convention, or failing fuel pumps on the way back. ok,
that was a bad example of reliability.
I am really content with my SHO right now, I just hate rackin up the
wear and tear on it as i want it to last forever. at 210,000 miles it
is showing it's age, but still is rather nice to drive. the engine is
strong, I average about 22-23mpg mixed hwy cruising and WOT
accelration. It's smooth (new wheels and tires, and a good
ssupension) and comfy (ok the interior is beginning to rot away
somewhat)
As far as relaible, there are probably more reliable cars out there.
I have had to have it towed by a wrecker 1 time in my experience.
That was when I froze my fan in a block of ice and melted the
integrated relay controller. That was more my stupidity than
anything. I have had to do a number of parking lot quick fixes and a
couple of times it's been limped home. Twice due to brakes. The
former owner (my dad) limped it back from south bend and managed to
use the brakes 3 times by the time he got to fort wayne.
Ok, I'm rambling... Have I mentioned I like my car?
