An 84 load rating (1100 #s) is most definitely not enough. The stock are 94
(1477#s), and this is based on the GVW weight for the axle on the plate on
the inside of your drivers door. IIRC, the GVW for the front axle of an MTX
SHO is around 2500 #s. Technically, a 91 tire (1357 #s) should be fine, and
this is the rating of a 2256/50/16 tire, that a lot of folks run. I would
NOT go any lower than this, as I'm sure the factory size and 94 rating is
designed the for GVW as well as a margin for other dynamic forces on the
tire.
FWIW, there was a discussion a few years ago about the forged Centerline RPM
FWD wheels. These wheels only are rated for 1200 #s, and are not recommended
for a SHO. One guy put a set on a Gen 2. After a few months, here is the
quote from his post:

Well, to make a long story short....my beautiful black pearl RPM's have
developed a "stress fracture" in the barrel of the rim. They were highway
driven for their life of 8k miles. When contacted, Centerline said to send
them back and they would make another and send it out.
However, I have lost confidence in the rim and purchased SSR GT1's and they
will be here Wednesday. To all who wrote to be wary of them, you were
correct. I often run into issues like this because I don't talk about doing
something, I just go buy it...damn the consequences. They told me and put it
in writing that their rim would work. Oh, well....on to the next forging
process. hehe

and just toi correct what was said, its an 84 to an 89 or 91 load rating for
the tires I would get. An 84 will support 1100 plus lbs and that's more than
enough for the sho... I'm also not worried about the height.
