I love of it is the tire itself, not all common tire sizes are actually the
same size.  The 225/55 16 Nitto450's on slicers fit pretty well, real world
tread width is less than 8".  The same size drag radials are about 3/4"
wider, but the same size Dunlop SP8000's are about 1" wider than the same
size nitto's.

My "225" Khumo V700's are 9+ inches wide!
