Could have been a repaint or a hood from a 95 (put on
a 92 and then sold to you)...

I am not sure what the difference is but I have
noticed that the earlier red tends to be a bit dull
compared to the later red which seemed more vibrant. I
always assumed that this was a clearcoat issue.
