The only tickets I automatically pay would be from a Tennessee State 
Trooper, turns out that anyting up to 9 over will not go on your record if 
you just pay the fine.  If you pay it, it disappears......if you go to 
court, you might get a traffic school (usually costs $50), or you might get 
the fine, court costs, and points on your record.

My last ticket here ( back in October) I was clocked at 70 in a 55......I 
never even saw him turn around......I had made it to the interstate and was 
actually running about 98 in a 70 by the time he finally caught me, SUPER 
NICE GUY.....hell, he was laughing about it when he walked up, he thought I 
was gonna run and he seemed to have fun just trying to catch up, he had the 
radar locked at 70......I got lucky....he wrote me for 64 in a 55.....cost 
me $97.50, mailed the check 2 days later and it's gone....Like I said I got 
lucky.
