[Shotimes] cruise control

Make sure that the switches on the clutch & brake pedal are working.
After going through all that on my car, including changing the unit itself,
I took it to the dealer. They found a leak in a vacuum line under the dash.
I believe the switches on the pedals also act as dump valves for the vacuum.
It seems that the clockspring affects the horn & cruise at the same time,
but who knows? I don't recall many folks ever having trouble with the cruise
unit itself, so I would check the vacuum lines.

Subject: [Shotimes] cruise control
My cruise control doesn't work. Fuse is fine, and it is hooked up to
the throttle. I checked the FAQ, and it mentioned checking the vacuum
canister to make sure the lines are all hooked up. I will check this,
but I wanted to know what else it could possibly be also. Could it be
the ribbon cable in the steering wheel? The horn works, so I'm
guessing no. Maybe the cruise module itself? Do they go bad? I have
less than 2 weeks before I leave for PA and I want to try to fix it.
