Actually I know you're right; every time I watch one of my LDs I wonder what
made me think they were so great back in the day.  But I have about 87 DTS
or AC3 discs; and the old LD player is not going to last forever.  It would
cost a small fortune to replace them all on DVD; much cheaper to burn them.
But if I can't get the AC3/DTS along with the crappy video its not worth the
effort.
