Ah ok
Well in that case, do you recall if the pistons were A
B or C? I am having difficulty remembering if the rods
are marked that way or not but I know for a fact that
the pistons are. They are marked on the top of the
pistons between the valve reliefs. Stupid question but
were the piston wrist pins' snap rings seated in
place? I'm sure you wouldn't knowingly assemble a
motor if they weren't but now that it's apart it may
be something to check. If they weren't and they caused
a problem you'd probably see cylinder wall damage so
I'm sure that isn't the case..just thinking out loud..
by the way, which rings did you use?
Keep us posted as I'm sure you will. I am interested
in hearing what your problem turns out to be while
crossing my fingers during my current engine build. :)
