new nuts new nuts new nuts new nuts new nuts. I can't stress this enough. I
didn't use new nuts (castle nut for tie rods especially, pinch bolts), and
I'm regretting it now. I'm installing new front endlinks for my swaybar (the
ball joints are toast on the ones I have now), and while I'm down there I'm
gonna put new nuts on everything. Oh, btw, thanks again George! For the
great explanation on the struts. Everything really made sense once I finally
got down there, and after replacing that damned LH half-shaft, I'm *really*
good at front suspensions! lol.
But anyway, yeah, get new pinch bolts and castle nuts. and cotter pins.
Also, you'll wanna get new LCA-SF (subframe), LCA-TSR(tension strut rod),
and TSR-SF bushings. NAPA carries them, but you can go with TPR for added
stiffness. New bushings really make a world of difference... I think almost
as much as new struts! ok, maybe not, but you get the point.
Make damned sure you don't overextend (pull out) that halfshaft while you
have the LCA out. Bad things will happen, and you'll be tearing apart a lot
more than the LCAs.

(snip)
I intend to tackle the lower control arms and outer tie rod ends on my own.

All suggestions greatly appreciated.
