Yes, yes, yes.....
Two questions.....
How bright is the CE light with the key on when it won't start? Dimmer than the Air
Bag light? Then it is this problem, either power TO the PCM or ground FROM it. Are
your battery cable ends replaced with cheapos? How secure is the extra small wire
coming out of the positive cable end?
And....
Does the fuel pump run when you turn the key on? If not, this COULD be the
problem. I would have said it WAS the problem until I shorted out a sensor harness
last spring(three wires got melted together when the PFE sensor fell off the head,
and hit the EGR tube). Ths gave me a BRIGHT CE light, as opposed to a DIM one where
the PCM is not powered. The pump did not run, since the PCM had isolated itself
from everything to protect itself from a hard short to ground.
What do you see?
