[Shotimes] Polling List.......I am curious & Engine
Intermittent Stalling

One of my 94 ATXs starts the same way. If I let the pump prime first, it (always) starts in a couple seconds. If I forget to let the pump prime first, after about 10 seconds of the engine turning over and not firing, I let go of the key and the engine starts (after I let go of the key). At first I thought the fuel pump was going bad and that I might have an electrical problem, but 20k later it still starts the same. I've gotten so used to starting it this way that I start all my vehicles the same way. Dave

ECM ground.
It is a small black wire, with a ground screw, on the firewall, above the
ECM, right next to the hood support strut. It is rather tight and easily
pulled loose when working on the CPS or CID or other wiring in that back
corner.Check & see if it is loose.
Try it, might help!
Good luck.

PS: My car has the very same flooded start symptom, even with a new CID cam
sensor. I assume it is a dying fuel pump or check valve. I remedy it by
turning the key to "on" for a couple seconds to let the fuel pump prime (&
shut off), & only then I start the car. It starts instantly that way, that's
why I think it is the fuel pump. If I forget to "prime" it, the engine
floods within a second or two, and then only foot on the floor will start
it.

Intermittent Stalling

the car. I replaced the starter this week and it started up great on first
try. But then my intermittent stalling problem got worse and the SHO is not
running at all now, pedal pumping or not.

but it is unfortunately still here. We replaced the DIS, Computer, Coil
pack, IRCM, CPS, starter, and key ignition switch. Jimmy tested the
electrical system with a volt meter and we are not getting proper voltage to
the coil pack. The lead on the coil pack for the PIP is getting improper
voltage. We thought there was a bad connection at the DIS (where the ground
is on the intake) but that didn't solve the problem either. All of the other
connections on the coil pack are getting the proper voltage.
