Varies with ambient temp. (In front of rad)
Helms says Normal Clutch "on" time should be:
(watch clutch to see when it is spinning = A/C on)
70 degrees = 20-45 seconds on-time
stays on longer when hotter.
80 degrees - at least 40 seconds or more up to 100 sec
at some temp around 80-90 degrees or above it may never cycle off & may run
continuously
If it stays on less than these times you are almost certainly low on freon.
