[Shotimes] Electrical Fire: No Brakes

There is no recall on the Taurus. I just looked at www.nhtsa.gov and there
are 5 for a '94 Taurus, none of them related to this. I thought Ford only
recalled trucks for this?

This sounds like the exact problem that the recent cruise-control 
switch recall was for.  You should be able to get Ford to pay for this.
