[Shotimes] getting to the oil pressure sender

There is no flow because it is going down a dead end street. You are only reading pressure in the system, not flow rate. Whether the there is a sender screwed into the block, or into a "T" that is screwed into the block, or into a 30 ft piece of pipe screwed into the block, it makes no difference. The pressure is the same.(I know not exactly with the 30 ft pipe, bear with me...) There IS flow through the system, just not through the pressure sensor. You know when you turn on the water there is pressure at the end of the hose, even if there is no flow...

How can there not be flow? It just stops and freezes?
:)

Plus there are varying rates of pressure at different
engine speeds, oil viscosity, temp, etc...
