I like this place and they have a massive amount of A/C tools and parts.
Good links section for further study too. They are the only place I can find
to buy adapters so you can use the same set of gauges with R-12 and R-134a.

Consider getting a compressed air powered vacuum pump. They as cheap as $15
from Harbor Freight. Mine works very well. I find you get better cooling by
staying with the R-12.
Any idea what problems the car has? Hope it's not "Black Death". That
usually ruins just about every part in the A/C system!!
