[Shotimes] silencer cone

I was reading through the SHOtimes mods the other day and i saw one about 
removing the silencer cone. Since my '93 is still stock, i was looking for 
something that would make it a little more agressive (as if it werent enough 
already), and to make it a little louder. The only thing i could gather that 
would be a downfall to removing the cone would be that i would have to clean 
out my filter every couple of weeks.

Is that really the only downfall to doing this? are there any other risks to 
damaging the motor in doing this?
