The Busch cars weigh about 3,200 lbs, similar to SHOs. They have around 650
hp, just a bit more than our SHOs. ;-) That gives them about a weight/hp
ratio of about 5/1. Most of the drivers have been taking driving classes at
VIR and Barber. Getting a car to handle on a road course is far different
than getting it to run on an oval. This event should be a challenge for the
cars, drivers and teams combined. It might just be a very entertaining
show!!

I will watch the Busch series race in Mexico today.
The qualifying was a hoot! Should be fun, crowd should be
really into it since a favorite son is on pole.
All the hired gun road racers are in the top five, and they
should be fun.
For all of us that hustle these four-door FWD sedans on the
road courses, the Busch cars will be a pretty close
approximation...don't you think?
