It's a low-tech formula, but it's a pretty high tech end process/product.
Having been recently in Joe Gibbs Racing's engine shop, it's pretty state of
the art stuff.  (ie, ~900 hp 10,000 rpm pushrod engines, multiple units
built within 1-2 hp of each other)
