[Shotimes] weird noise/weird tach/weird speedo

Hi guys, I was driving around yesterday and noticed that there's a noise 
other than the engine when I rev up. it's almost exactly two octaves 
higher than the engine at all speeds and gears, but I only hear it when 
accelerating.

Also, the tach likes to dip momentarily for some reason. Can't figure 
out why. sometimes it happens when changing gears (ATX), sometimes it 
happens when I'm just cruising... it only dips down about 1K rpm then 
shoots right back up. It's almost like it just loses voltage for a tenth 
of a second...

ALSO, I got this hot-shit new GPS thingy that (among other things) tells 
me how fast I'm going. When my speedo says 70, my GPS says 69, which 
makes sense cos I got a speeding ticket for going 69 in a 55 (my cruise 
was set to 70), but when I'm going 30, GPS says I'm going 25-26. What's 
the deal with that? I'm running 225-55-16s on my car... I'm not worried, 
but could it be bad in the future?

I'm most worried about the whine, though. It sounds just like the tranny 
did the last time before it exploded, and I JUST got a new one put in 
last august. It shouldn't be doing this again already! will a fluid 
flush help this?
