[Shotimes] New Illinois Race Facility a reality!

We were supposed to get a drag strip, road course, small oval, and I think a
dirt track when the Nashville SuperSpeedway was built here in Lebanon,
TN....but it never happened. They opened the 1.33 mile concrete D oval and
aborted the others. The Craftsman trucks, Busch cars, and IRL run here,
still waiting for a Cup race.

I just checked the website and found mention of a 1.8 mile road course, if
the road course is open and they open the drag strip.......I'm thinking it
could be time for a Nashville Convention

Guess I'm going to have to make a trip over there to check it out.....about
12 miles from my place.

I hope that one works out better then the abortion Sports Resorts Intl
and Don Williamson came up with for Mt Morris same concept matter of
fact same layout and site map. Drag strip and oval were supposed to be
open last year. Needless to say it's 12 story pile of dirt and crushed
concrete.
