Are you talking about a new radio head unit?

The 89 dash is a bit different from the 90 dash that I had.  I ordered a
Sony from Crutchfield and they gave me all the harnesses and adapters that I
needed.  The radio went in very easily.  It did not require any disassembly
of the dash.

The 90 with premium sound has an amplifier in the trunk that probably isn't
compatible with your new head unit.  The head unit that I bought had plenty
of power for me so Crutchfield gave me a harness to bypass the amp.  If you
want to use the amp in the trunk you can buy an adapter that reduces the
signal from the head unit down to preamp levels.
