[Shotimes] valve clearance questions

well....the shop essentially offered to adjust the
clearances by taking the appropriate amount off of the
stems. This was part of the head rebuild/valve job.
When I asked the list about doing this vs. using the
traditional shim method, I was told that it was not a
good idea....
I guess find out soon enough...
