[Shotimes] valve clearance questions

I think that this depends on the amount theey had to grind on the
seats. If it was only a little cleanup, then you are fine. If it was
a major revision, then you may have an issue. I built a 3.2 and had
this problem, used the old stage 1 cams. The OEM cams and no lash
caps were too tight for the thinnest shims. The same for the stage 1
and the lash caps. stage 1 w/o the caps was close, but a bit too much
gap. We ended up gettign the shop to grind the shims down to fit.
They did not want to admit they had not done the valve job properly.
