You know people drag these dogs.  No, not like behind a car or something,
and no not like at the track.  They hook them up to a harness and a LOT of
weight (up to 1500lbs I've heard) and then they pull that weight a distance.
Like a tractor pull, but the weight doesn't get any heavier as they go and
you don't see their balls glow bright red.  <G>

My friend had a pit that literally had a butt on its head it was so
muscular.  Like, there was a crease down the center of his forehead.

A good friend of mine here at work has several of them.  American
Staffordshire Terriers is the official AKC name, he tells me.  A
couple of them are champions, one of them a national champion even at
whatever the big dog show is at Madison Square Garden.  I've been to
his house several times.  They really are big babies.  Once you start
scratching them, you're their friend for the rest of the night.  They
are a pretty imposing sight though.  All neck and head.  Whatever they
were originally bred for (hunting some kind of vermin I would
suppose), I'm guessing they were very good at it.
