Its tight in there, but I couldn't really see why it would take dropping the
subframe. Maybe that don't know how to work on it.

Subject: [Shotimes] am I being taken advantage of

***correction sorry about that***
I grabbed my receipt and my numbers were off.

Dear Shotimers,

I recently went to my mechanic to have my a/c checked out.
They said my a/c clutch was bad and then changed it.

They said labor was ***3.5*** hrs of labor for total of 239.01 and the
clutch parts were 224$.
Diagnostics were 74.95

The total charge was 582$ to change the clutch and run a/c diags.
The manager said the sub frame had to be dropped to change the clutch (why
hrs were 3.5 hrs).

Is that correct?

The sad thing was my a/c didn't even work. I guess the clutch wasn't
adjusted correctly.
I am taking the car back tomorrow.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much

Al
