[Shotimes] looking for suggestions for things to see in L.A. / San Diego

1.  Aerospace museum, near San Diego Zoo.
2.  Zoo, one of best in country.
3.  Cardiff Beach, also Mission Beach, also Del Mar  beaches.  Many
commercials are filmed at Del Mar beach; you may recognize it.  Or better
yet catch one with scantily clad beer girls although I wouldn't know about
that.  Good restaurants in Del Mar, trendy and pricey.  Home of many old
time movie stars.
4.  Unless you like old, crowded freeways, L.A. isn't on my top 10 list,
although Beverly HIlls is interesting.  Also, Universal studios has tours
daily going through the sets, some interesting stuff.  But a fairly long
drive from S.D.; a little north of L.A.
6.  Touristy stuff:  Sea World, a good show.
7.  Newport beach, set of "The O.C." no big deal.
8.  Redondo Beach, nice town with great seafood cafe on the pier.  These
last two are in Orange County, a little north of S.D.
9.  Palm Springs/Palm Desert, if you want to warm up and dry out ;-)
10. Ramona, small country town, mostly for the country, scenic hilly drive
out there.  Nice for a picnic.
Probably can think of more if you are interested in a particular type of
entertainment.
