I think what Jason was talking about is related to the tint level. I
believe he's saying that the 95 windshield might have darker tint, which
would keep the interior cooler in the sunlight..

The only SHO I ever saw with a "heated" windshield was Del Smith's SHO, 
Way back when.

the heated windshield has a thin metallic layer between the glass layers

that provides the heat, it also slightly tints the windshield.  Del put 
his in because as an ex fighter pilot, he had sensative eyes from a 
phosphorous bomb that went off in front of him during Nam.  He didn't 
hook up the heater feature though, the SHO doesn't have the wiring for 
it, only available on the regular Taurus.  He also had limo tint on ALL 
windows other than the windshield.  Was constantly getting stopped and 
had to show his letter from his doctor.
