Mike W: "Also, watch out that they get all the trim or weatherstripping
glued down good again. I had a piece on the passengers side that the wind would
catch and stick up at highway speeds. It looked real goofy. They glued it
again and it still did it"

My windshield weatherstripping has decided to pop up and turn inside out on
both the top corners for a distance of about 6" on each side of the corner.
("Everted" being the technical term for such) And needless to say, will not
return to its proper position despite vigorous coaxing.

I recall reading in here quite a ways back that it's a waste of time to try
to get just the rubber replaced, nobody wants to mess with it or can't get
the part separately, gotta do the glass to get the rubber. Is it true that a
new windshield normally does come with the rubber? Or that the rubber can't
be bought separately?

Recently I got a 1/4" stone chip which has not cracked but I suppose is a
sign to take care of this sooner rather than later.

Cheers,
