[Shotimes] Lean stumble before sencondary kick in

Debbie's '93 MTX was running very poorly a couple months ago. I was at FPS
and mentioned it to Doug. He removed the sensor and tried to clean it using
(I think) brake parts cleaner. It would not come clean. He ended up
carefully scraping the wire with a knife blade to remove the carbon. I was
amazed at the drastic improvement that it made. However, scraping the MAF
wires is not for the clumsy or faint of heart.

Jim

Good point, I'm not sure of the chemical he used. I'll have to ask. He did
say it was one of the dirtiest MAF wires he'd seen in a while. He recommends
cleaning them about once every 2-3 years.

Guess I'll have to find those bits since I'm planning on keeping this SHO
longer than that!
