I don't see how you can cram a .037" shim in a .035" gap. What am I
missing?

Subject: [Shotimes] Quaife install question

I am just completing a transmission rebuild and Quaife installation. I
measure a .035" gap with my new differential and the Ford gauge tools. The
old shim from this transmission is a .037". What size should I
order/install? Can I safely use the .037 shim to get a .002" preload?
Should I order a .035" shim for zero preload?
