I believe you are just supposed to use a brass drift. Brass so that it
doesn't go BOOM! If you are careful, just hit it with hammer and screw
driver

Is there a special tool for removing the retaining ring that holds in place
the fuel pump and sender?  Please suggest a source.  I'd like to be able to
