Yes there is a tool for this it is:

It is available from Rotunda Tools (1-800-ROTUNDA) it
was $21.05 in 2002 I'm sure it has gone up since then.
 I used it last week on my Taurus Wagon and it works
like a charm.  A few years ago I went throught the
service manuals and bought every tool still available
for the SHO & Taurus.  Rotunda still carries a lot of
our tools.  If you plan on keeping the car it may not
be a bad investment.  One other place for Rotunda
Tools is eBay.  There are quite a few people selling
the Rotunda Service sets.  There is the Service Set
for both the V6 & V8 SHO engines but there are a lot
of sets that contain tools can be used on the Taurus
that come in handy.  I still find stuff I need there
too.
