[Shotimes] RockAuto Shipping is Ridiculous!

I agree completely, Noah. However, I think Paul is also correct (see below).
After learning that I need to enter my zip code in the appropriate cell in
the "shopping basket", I now see how the total shipping rate changes as you
add each entry.  The shipping cost of the three battery cables is only about
$7, so the remaining $18 was presumably apportioned across the other parts
(plugs, distributor cap and rotor, an air filter etc) according to the
vendor.  Somewhere in the RockAuto info it even says to minimize the number
of vendors selected to minimize the shipping cost, or something along those
lines. 

I did successfully cancel my order and am a little wiser now. But I still
want those new OEM-fit battery cables, so I may have to order them
separately and buy the rest of the stuff locally. Pretty weird.
